Today was our annual trip to Lagoon with Layton. Jackson was so excited to go and Andrew got in on his excitement, but didn't really know what to expect. We got there early because we weren't sure how long I could last, but we made it. We had a blast! Here is a picture tour of our trip to Ma-Goon! First stop were the boats because the line is always so long for this ride. We were actually the only ones on this boat trip! Then to the airplanes. Puff was a big hit. The cars. Helicopters. Rockets. Dragon Ride. We took a train tour and the boys loved it.The tiger acted like he wanted to eat us. Official Lagoon heights.Karli and Abi met us at Lagoon that day and took the boys on rides that I couldn't go on and that made Lane a bit sick! So glad they were there. The boys loved the swings. Pirate Ship. Ladybug Drop.Bulgy the whale. After our lunch break, we hit the Odysea. Then all the boys went on Bombora. Abi took Jackson on the Dragon twirl, while Lane and Andrew went on the dinosaur drop. We said goodbye to Karli and Abi and then they boys hit the spaceships and picked up some chicks! They loved the bumpercars and they went on those twice! We bought some cotton candy and headed home! It was one awesome day!
Jackson talked Lane into setting up the tent and doing a camp out. Andrew was not to be left out. I popped them popcorn and then they watched a show on the I-pad. About 11, Andrew woke up and was screaming...probably didn't know where he was...so Lane brought him in the house. Too bad he didn't make it all night. At least they weren't in the wilderness! Jackson loved every minute of being in the tent with his dad! They are two peas in a pod.
While Lane was working on getting a drip system put in for some flower pots in the backyard (hence the railing taken out), Andrew put Woody on the ride of his life...and then he couldn't get Woody out! Luckily Lane had the tool to make the extraction possible! Andrew was devastated throughout the entire process. Dad and Jackson knew just the trick! Woody is saved! Reunited at last.
We planted an awesome garden this year. It is full of things I love and not of anything I don't love! (I was soooooo tired of zucchini and squash!) We have lots of peppers...2 green, 2 yellow and 2 red, plus a jalapeno. Five tomato bushes, including one Roma! Yellow and red onions. Plus the chives that lived through the winter and cilantro. Last, but not least...cucumbers!!!! I can't wait for all these veggies to be ready to eat!
Our strawberry bushes were very happy and produced lots of baby strawberry bushes last year so we decided to extend our little patch. Jackson was Dad's big helper and they made an awesome cover to protect our strawberries from the birds. Then we decided to enjoy some of our strawberries that were ready to eat!Lane tried to show me a collection of berries, but they didn't even last long enough for me to get a picture. I was hoping to have enough strawberries to make lots of jam this year, but I don't know that the boys will let me!!
We set up the water slide for the boys this weekend so they could enjoy the 80 degree weather without us going to the neighborhood pool. They had a blast to say the least. Chillin' in the pool. Jackson. Andrew.Climbing up. Big Splash. Loving Life.
